Practitioner based and working on Kaurna Country (Adelaide, Fleurieu region of South Australia.)
I have been an employee of CSIRO since 2009. Since 2021, I have provided data science expertise in the research science domain as part of a 12-month secondment with CSIRO Minerals and Land & Water, contributing to several projects within the roles of a Research Support Officer, Spatial Data Analyst. In 2023, I will be undertaking ad hoc roles working in similar capacities for CSIRO Agriculture & Food. As a result of completing CSIRO's Data School in 2020, along with subsequent training and engagements, I possess a strong knowledge and demonstrated application of data science and spatial development tools such as R, Python and ArcGIS.
Outside of my CSIRO duties, I have maintained a career as a sound artist and acoustic ecologist since 2005 (MA Music Studies [Sound Art], University of Adelaide), with domestic and international projects encompassing an array of activities (artist workshops, sound design, audio engineering, acoustic ecology, field recording), whilst regularly collaborating with various artists and organisations. My creative and research-based work has been presented and exhibited across Australia and internationally. In 2011, I created the Fleurieu & Kangaroo Island Sound Map and since 2018 I have regularly facilitated sound walks, listening and field recording workshops.
